Home to some of the most successful neighbourhoods in the region, Ancaster blends the beauty of its waterfalls and hiking trails with a quaint, small-town atmosphere.
About Ancaster
A drive through the suburb of Ancaster will reveal some of the most beautiful homes among the most affluent neighbourhoods found in Hamilton. The natural geography of this area is breathtaking. It’s densely treed valley offers the chance to walk along the Heritage and Bruce Trails, or enjoy a hike through the Tiffany Falls Conservation Area. Shops and boutiques can be found in the walkable Ancaster Village strip – also known for its abundance of century stone buildings. The past decade has seen significant growth around the Meadowlands shopping area. This large retail complex enables area families to get groceries, grab a bite to eat, do a bit of shopping and even take in a movie. The Meadowlands, like most of Ancaster, is a popular area for commuters. It’s easily accessible by the Lincoln Alexander Parkway and the 403; making trips downtown, or to the central Mountain, very convenient.
